Applications for Reactors(Mobile)

Details
Using Electrochemistry (EC) as a reaction technique before the MS allows the analyst to mimic natures’ REDOX reactions such as oxidative metabolism, oxidative damage of proteins/peptides and DNA damage. In addition, reductive reactions such as disulfide bond reductions in proteins/peptides and reductions in environmental samples can be performed almost spontaneously. Many chemical reactions (Fenton), enzymatic and catalytic reactions as well as follow-up reactions (phase II) can be mimicked without biological interferences (e.g. cell matrix, plasma, urine, soil, etc.) making EC/MS a real Biomimetic tool with substantial savings in time and cost.
